So frustrating! MAF sensor?
I took my car to get a diagnostic the guy told me it was my MAF so today we tried cleaning it with MAF cleaner and also replaced the filter now the car sounds like the engine is running rough and it almost sounds like it has a harley davidson motor! It revs really rough. What could be wrong? I’m going to buy the whole new part tomorrow and see if that helps if not I have no clue.
Year/make/model??
First check the air intake ducts for holes or hoses off. Also check for vacuum leaks. Those things could cause false MAF codes.
Once you are sure everything else is ok, replace the sensor if cleaning it didn’t work. Sometimes the sensor “hot wires” break or the electronics inside the sensor go bad and cleaning it won’t do anything.
