What motorcycle should I buy?
I’m a 22 year old female, new to riding motorcycles, but have scooter experience. I want to buy a bike that’s not over powering, but it’s going to last and keep up with the highway every now and then. Which of these bikes do you think are the best?

i’ve had three 883 Sportsters and loved each of them. two i converted to 1200 with the h-d 1200 cylinder kit. the third, a 2001 883, i left at 883cc’s and just rat-bobbed it and rode the hell out of it. i put 35k miles on that bike with never a break-down. sold it for 3500 bucks in 2007 and bought another sportster, this time a 1200R. people who talk bad about harleys have usually never owned one. in the mid 70’s to early 80’s, harley belonged to AMF and they had a well-earned reputation for being leaky and unreliable. modren harleys are excellent cruisers and all are fuel injected. the 883 is an excellent starter bike that you wont “outgrow” too quickly, if at all. there are a bazillion aftermarket parts for it and you can make a sportster just about anything you want it to be. bob it, chop it, put on a detachable windshield, a set of highway pegs, and a sissybar to bungee your gear to and you can tour quite comfortably one-up.
